Right About Now

Well, the European tour with Keith Caputo and the run of headline Irish shows were a complete blast! This is the second European tour I have down with Keith and it was even better than the first. Keith, band and crew are like family and they always make me feel part of theirs. The audience's were superb. Thank you to everyone who came out to see the shows.
I managed to clock up nearly 2000 miles in Ireland, not bad when you consider how small a country it is. I got to play in some towns I had never been to before. I met some great folks and the Guinness was flowing. The highlight for me was my hometown show in The Ivy in Newtownards - it was a very special and emotional night. Thanks to each of every one of you who came to the shows, bought the merch, and make it what it is, you all rock. Being the road dog that I am, I still miss home very much, so it was very nice to get back to the family and especially see how much Pepper, my new daughter had grown.

I had about a week to recover then it was straight into rehearsals for the Hootenanny Festival. I did the show backed by a full band and though I was onstage at the crack of noon, I felt the band rocked and played great. The Hootenanny is always a great day out and the band of the day for me this year were... Throw rag !!

The main aim for me in the next 2 months is to completely finish recording the new album "BELFAST CONFETTI." I shot the video for the title track whilst I was back in Belfast with director Richard Crothers, I have seen a very rough first edit, he has done a great job, some of the cinematography is very cool indeed. I already know I am going to love it.
I will be playing a few sporadic shows in the next couple of months, one being the KEY Club in West Hollywood with Wil Ridges on August 26th.

I will be playing a few sporadic shows in the next couple of months. two in Chicago, one in which I'll be supporting my buddy Keith Caputo at The Double Door on August 13th. And another headline set at Delilah's Bar on the 14th as part of a tribute night to the late great Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy. The other show is at the KEY Club in West Hollywood with Wil Ridges on August 26th.

I will of course keep you updated from the studio and about all the recording that is happening.

Thank you for your support and I believe that the new album will be more than worth the wait.

Ricky Warwick.
